Private Coaching Built Around You
Specialist personal training for adults who want to build strength, improve physical capacity and train consistently — even when injury, setbacks or everyday demands have made progress difficult.
I assess where you are now, establish what your body can tolerate and adapt your training as you progress.
Coaching That Adapts to You
A training programme should fit the person, not the other way around.
I look beyond individual exercises to understand your current strength, movement, recovery and ability to handle training.
Some sessions will challenge you. Others may need adjusting because of poor sleep, stress, discomfort or changes in your circumstances.
The aim isn’t simply to get you through another session. It’s to help you become stronger, more capable and increasingly confident in managing your own training.
What Private Coaching Actually Is
Private coaching is more than an appointment in the gym. It’s an ongoing relationship built around your goals, physical capacity and everyday life.
I assess where you’re starting, develop training around what you can currently manage, and adjust it as your strength, confidence and circumstances change.
Sessions provide the practical coaching. The assessment, planning and ongoing review ensure those sessions have a clear purpose.
The aim is to make progress you can maintain, without having to start again every time life becomes demanding.
-
We begin by understanding your goals, training history, current capabilities and anything affecting your ability to train consistently.
Where additional assessment is appropriate, the Capacity Assessment helps establish a suitable starting point, identify priorities and guide the initial training approach.
-
Your sessions are built around your current ability and the progress you want to make.
I coach your movement, manage training load and adjust exercises, intensity or frequency according to how you respond.
Strength, conditioning, mobility and other physical qualities are developed where they support your goals.
-
Progress is reviewed through your performance, recovery, confidence and ability to manage training consistently.
When you’re responding well, we progress. When circumstances change, we adapt.
Over time, you’ll develop a better understanding of your own capacity and greater confidence in making training decisions independently.
How It Works
Start With Clarity
Understand what your body can manage now, what’s holding you back and where to focus your efforts.
You’ll have a clear direction rather than another programme built on guesswork.
Train With Purpose
Build strength, fitness and physical capability through training that challenges you appropriately.
Every session has a purpose, with adjustments made when your needs or circumstances change.
BuildConsistency
Learn how to keep training through busy periods, changing energy levels and imperfect weeks.
Progress becomes less dependent on ideal circumstances or constant motivation.
Become More Capable
Develop the strength, confidence and physical capacity to do more of what matters to you.
The goal is to feel increasingly capable in everyday life, training and the activities you enjoy.
Who This Is For
Private coaching is for adults who want to become stronger, fitter and more physically capable, but need an approach that takes their individual circumstances into account.
You’ve struggled to maintain consistency.
You make progress for a while, but injuries, flare-ups, fatigue or the demands of everyday life keep interrupting your training.
You’re returning after a setback.
You want to rebuild strength and fitness after time away, but you’re unsure where to start or how quickly to progress.
Your previous approach is no longer working.
You’ve trained before, perhaps for years, but what used to work no longer produces the same results or feels appropriate for your body.
You want your training properly managed.
You value having someone who understands your goals, considers your physical history and recovery, and makes informed decisions about how and when to progress your training.
Start With a Conversation.
If you’re looking for a more considered approach to building strength, improving fitness or getting back to consistent training, let’s talk.
We’ll discuss what you’re trying to achieve, what’s been getting in the way and whether my coaching is the right fit.
